canli-paper-trading-mcp lets an AI agent trade your Alpaca paper account without being able to skip the checks. Every order is previewed against your own limits, the market clock and a kill switch, and only orders that pass get a confirmation token. It is paper only: live keys are refused. It is free and open source.

Can it trade real money?
No. The package contains no live trading host, and live keys are refused.
What do I need?
Paper keys from your own Alpaca account, set in your environment. They stay there, and nothing goes anywhere except Alpaca's paper API.
How does it stop an agent going around the checks?
Each order is previewed against your limits, the market clock and a kill switch. Only orders that pass get a five-minute confirmation token, and only a token can send them.
Which AI assistants can use it?
Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Windsurf, Cline, Zed and any other MCP client.
Is it investment advice?
No. It places practice orders you or your agent decide on, with made-up money.
